Robot 2.0 is an upcoming Indian bilingual science fiction movie, shot in two languages Tamil and Hindi languages, and directed by “S. Shankar”. A consequence to his Tamil film Enthiran (2010), the film will feature Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. The film is created by “Subaskaran Allirajah” of Lyca Productions; the film is expected to have the biggest budget in the history of Indian cinema. The movie is budget 3.5 billion (US$52 million). Titled robot 2.0, the film consequently began it is first schedule with shooting held on 16 December 2015. The film is schedule to release in theatres in 25 January 2017. A metaphysical devisee to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran, the film will feature Rajinikanth’s reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, together with Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. Jeyamohan finished work on the writing of the film in September 2015 and
revealed that the story would be a direct continuance from the 2010 film, with
filming only set to start subsequent the completion of Rajinikanth's commitment
in Kabali(2016). The original movie discussion writer, MadhanKarky,
helped Jeyamohan on some of the more technological dialogues in the
script. A press release coinciding with the start of the movie shoot also made
known that Resul-Pookutty would handle sound designing, Legacy
Effects would take care of animatronics work and that Mary E.
Vogt would design extraordinary costumes. Stunt choreographer Kenny Bates and optical
effects specialists John Hughes and Walt Jones were also signed to work on the
film. In June 2016, the movie sound engineer Resul-Pookutty publicized
during the midst of production that the film will not serve as a consequence
to Enthiran, rather a spiritual descendant.

Akshay Kumar began shoot for the film in Chennai at the opening of
March 2016 and took part in a schedule held at the EVP Film-City-studio in Chennai. A set of a mobile phone accumulate
was erected at the location, while night scenes concerning robotic equipment
and military tanks were also preserved. The team subsequently moved to
Delhi to hold a forty five day programme, continuing on from the same scenes

development, with the climax sequences being filmed. Action scenes involving
robotic apparatus was filmed all through early April in Delhi, with
cinematographer Nirav Shah by means of helicams to capture sequences involving
the three lead actors. Titled 2.0, the film consequently began it is first
schedule with shooting held on 16 December 2015. The film is programme to
release in theatres in 2017.
