Here’s how Rajinikanth bowed down to power of Akshay Kumar
Finally the first look of much awaited Rajinikanth and

Finally
the first look of much awaited Rajinikanth’s and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 is
out and it has intrigued us. One can see the logo of the film in the
poster and a man is seen standing with his hands in the air who we spotted to
be Akshay Kumar, the main antagonist of the film. And that’s what surprised us.
As far as one can remember this is the first time in the last decade or so that
a Rajinikanth vehicle doesn’t feature Rajinikanth himself in the first look and
instead has the villain on it. Going by the first looks of Rajinikanth’s last
five films this was rather surprising.
This change may be due to the business of Akshay
Kumar’s films this year, be it Airlift, Housefull 3, Rustom as all three of his
films entered 100 crore club and he has become one of the biggest superstar of
Indian cinema and come to think of it Rajinikanth too had Kabali released
this year but after opening opening and creating frenzy, the hype soon fizzled
out. Also no points in guessing, the villain’s role in the movie is very
important and was much talked about as even Hollywood star Arnold
Schwarzenegger was approached for the same. So it was observable when you sign
a superstar like Akshay Kumar for your film, you give him the special treatment
as that adds value to the film and creates the right kind of hype.
Let’s take a look at the first look poster of
Rajinikanth’s last five films and you’ll know what I am talking about.
Kabali

Lingaa

Kochadiiyaan

Enthiran
Sivaji- The Boss

Another
look of 2.0 is
up for release in the coming weekend and we are sure we’ll get to see
Rajinikanth as Chitti by then. So guess we have to wait for few
more days for that. Till then keep tripping over this first look.
