CONFIRMED! 2.0 avoids clash with Padman, to release on Tamil New Year and that’s April 13, 2018
We were the first ones to tell
you that robot 2.0 might get pushed from the confirmed Republic Day release
next year to sometime in April. We had gotten in touch with our sources there
who informed that makers are discussing it. The confirmation has ultimately
flown in as robot 2.0 will now release on 13 April 2018 in a bid to en-cash the
frenzy of Tamil New Year. That means Padman will have to free way ahead to make
highest money.
This morning Akshay Kumar shocked
everyone when he announced that Padman is releasing on Republic Day 2018. He
wrote, “Not all superheroes come with capes! Bringing you the true story of a
real superhero, #Padman this Republic Day – 26th January, 2018!” We
were zapped! How can two Akshay Kumar films release on the same day? 2.0 has
him playing the antagonist which is something everyone is waiting to see.
Padman sees him bring Arunachalam Muruganantham’s real life story on celluloid
wherein he helps the women of his village by providing them with cheap sanitary
pads. It’s an inspirational story which needed a long standing at the theatres
for the message to reach far and wide. So we knew one or the other will be
pushed.
