Rs 6 crore, that’s the cost of Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 first look event
Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar's first look event will be held on 20 November.
Well, the biggest
event this weekend is Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 first look launch. It will
be a grand event held at Yashraj Studio on on 20 November, 5pm. Rajinikanth,
Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson along with rest of the cast and crew will be present
for this launch. The event will be hosted by Bollywood producer Karan Johar. It
will livestreamed on the Lyca Productions Youtube channel and its app. This is
the first time a film is using modern technology for its first look launch.
In
fact, according to reports on a leading daily, this is turning out to be one of
the most expensive first look events at Rs 6 crore. Yes, that’s the amount
being spent on 2.0’s first launch event! The marketing budget of this movie is
reported be Rs 40 crore. While speaking to Hindu, the creative head of Lyca
Productions said, “This is the just the first look launch. We are hoping to
organise much bigger events for the launch of the teaser, trailer and audio of
the film across cosmopolitan cities in India.” Clearly, the first look launch
is just the beginning, there’s so much more to come.
The invites to this
much awaited events are already out on social media. Following the first poster
theme, the invites were also blue and had the grand 2.0 logo on them.
2.0 directed by Shankar may be an extension of
Enthiran- The Robot but the storyline is not a continuation. In fact, this
sci-fi movie is independent of Robot. With this movie, Akshay Kumar will enter
the South industry. He plays Dr Richards, who turns into a crow as a result of
a wrong experiment, in other words, he is the baddie Rajinikanth will have a
face off with in the film. Wow, in your debut itself you get to challenge the
biggest superstar. Amy Jackson is part of the cast as well. The film will
feature only one song, but the album will have five-six songs. So what are you
